Associate Professional clinical counselor

Hello,

My name is Daniel and I am an Associate Clinical Counselor. In my work with clients, it has been my privilege to help individuals identify their strengths and abilities, while incorporating new skills for addressing and managing challenges. I strongly believe in the significance of the therapeutic relationship. Therapy grounded in unconditional positive regard proves to be the best soil for cultivating growth and change, especially in challenging seasons of life. I also believe it is the collaborative approach that involves the client, family, and those nearest the individual, that proves most effective for solidifying effective change.

In my years of experience, I've had the opportunity to develop skills while working with children and adolescents affected by grief and loss, families navigating a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, individuals engaging experiences of trauma, those walking alongside loved ones affected by tragedy, as well as working with victims of IPV, clients managing depression, anxiety, and unwanted behavioral and thought patterns.

I received my B.A. in Psychology from Biola University and my M.S. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Children and Adolescents from Azusa Pacific University. My primary areas of interest are Anxiety, Depression, Grief and Loss, Trauma, Psycho-Social Development, Identity development, Group Therapy, Spiritual Development, and skills building.

During my freetime, I enjoy learning about various topics, such as architecture & screenwriting, or trying out new recipes for delicious meals and desserts, such as Tikka Masala and Macarons.
